This is a house of rock and roll. Of sweet melodies and steel capped boots. Of floral cardigans and grimey rhymes. Of anti-bad vibe rural riffs. Of surfing in polka dot shirts and summer dresses. Of wonderfully gifted storytelling and… of love.
Unique as individuals, Mylee Grace and Ozzy Wrong become an inspiring force as a duo. Both grew up with imaginary friends in their homes and music in their bones…
Mylee Grace wrote her first song at age 8, started her band the Milkshakes at 19, toured the world at 22 then in 2011 released her debut EP Baby Talk which went on to become the feel good hit of the summer on fBi radio.
Ozzy Wrong, a long-time poet, daydreamer and rider of ocean waves has spent nearly a decade travelling the globe with his surfer trash buddies the Goons of Doom. They’ve released four albums to date and continue to shred today.
When Mylee and Ozzy fell in love back in 2006, nobody saw either of them for six months. When they finally emerged from their love cocoon the world was full of endless possibility and the two went on a song writing bender declaring the awesomeness of the other as well as sharing the stories of their lives. Though they jammed and played many live performances together, never did Mylee and Ozzie commit their combined forces to tape.
Fate would finally play it's card when a family holiday to a house in Byron Bay revealed a recording studio in the basement ( La Casa Artist Residency ). Mylee and Ozzie called in the Milkshakes and anyone else who happened to be in the area for a week of spontaneous jamming with plenty of weed, beer, rainbows and mushrooms. The result is Mylee Grace and Ozzy Wrong Songs, 12 tracks that capture the magic of these two artists performing as one, produced by the one and only Paul Bianco of Cock and Shovel Studios.
There is nothing pretentious here. This is feel music, straight from the heart. Fun and woolly, warm and engaging, this is an album party everyone is invited to join. Leave your shoes at the door…
